Hardliners protesting CJ-led government

KATHMANDU: At a time when the major four political parties are inching closer to form a CJ-led election government, Nepal’s hardline communist party CPN-Maoist and some other fringe parties are protesting the major parties’ decision to form such government.

Earlier, the CPN-Maoist chairman Mohan Baidhya has also denounced the CJ-led government saying that it would challenge the independence of judiciary in the country.

Matrika Yadav-led CPN (Maoist), CPN (Unified) and Mani Thapa-led Revolutionary Communist Party are protesting across the country to protest the major political parties’ decision. The parties are scheduled to hold a mass meeting at Ratnapark at 4:00 pm today, said CPN-Maoist spokeswoman Pampha Bhusal.
