Police suspends three senior Police officers of Dailekh, Ministry calls back CDO



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs today called back the Chief District Officer of Dailekh Umesh Prasad Dhakal while Nepal Police all of sudden suspended three senior police officers of the district for their failure to maintain security provision on Wednesday while the Prime Minister and top UCPN (Maoist) leaders landed in Dailekh to address a public program.

CDO Dhakal has been ordered to make his presence at the Ministry.

DSP Sarada Prasad Chaudhary and Inspectors Indra Subedi and Kiran Neupane were suspended today for their ‘failure to maintain’ security order while Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai landed in Dailekh.

In a series of clashes on Wednesday between the Maoists and anti-Maoist cadres, scores cadres were injured while the cadres of the opposition parties blazed the Maoist district office.
