Coca-Cola launches 250 ml “Jigri Pack” using latest packaging technology in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Coca-Cola has launched a new 250 ml pack to offer ‘great drinking experience’ to its consumers across Nepal.

The ‘Jigri Pack’–which Coca-Cola calls it as it a consumer-friendly pack—is portable, easy to carry and has been produced using the latest innovative technologies in the packaging industry.

Bottlers Nepal Ltd. invested in the state of art technology, putting Nepal amongst the first three countries worldwide to have this capability.

In addition to being consumer-friendly, Jigri pack is environment-friendly as well. It is an ultra-light bottle and also recyclable as other PET bottles. Coca-Cola has been leveraging this technology to offer beverages in a portable, re-sealable, lightweight and shatter-resistant with an extended shelf life of six months.

Consumers will now be able to enjoy their favorite Coca-Cola, Sprite & Fanta in the new ‘Jigri pack’ wherever they reach, whenever they want–and all this at an attractive price point.

The company has also launched its latest campaign which is conceptualized, acted and directed by an extremely talented team of Nepal. The vibrant campaign showcases the young star cast enjoying their favorite beverage in the new ‘Jigri pack’.

Coca-Cola in Nepal refreshes consumers across the country through its core product offerings of Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta and Kinley and impacts thousands as a system.

The Company works with WWF Nepal, WaterAid Nepal and Smartpaani on innovative integrated water management solutions for water conservation, water replenishment and to improve livelihoods of communities.

As part of The Coca-Cola Company’s commitment towards a ‘World Without Waste’, Coca-Cola Nepal has been working with Himalayan Climate Initiative and GIZ for a PET Recollection Social enterprise that encourages recycling of PET waste in Kathmandu and recently partnered with Creasion to establish a responsible PET recovery and recycling hub in Chitwan.

Through the STAR Retailer training program, Coca-Cola Nepal is also empowering women retailers, in line with the Coca-Cola Company’s Global 5BY20 initiative.
