General convention in May if merger does not materialize: Former DPM Thapa



BHAKTAPUR: Former Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (National Democratic Party) Kamal Thapa said that “we will not wait if the mergers of two parties do not happen by 17th January.

Speaking at a program organized by the RPP Bhaktapur District committee the former DPM stated “we would be headed for a convention if the merger with Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Samyukta does not materialize. We have to prepare for the general convention that we have planned for May”.

Former DPM Thapa also said that the principles and ideology of the party can be an alternative to the Nepali Congress and the Nepal Communist Party.

In the same program former commander of the People’s Liberation Army of the erstwhile United Communist Maoist Nepal Dinesh Joshi and his wife Tara formally joined the RPP and we welcomed by the Chairman.
