Country at the end of political transition: PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the country has entered a new era after promulgation of new constitution and its implementation.

Issuing an appeal on Tuesday, Prime Minister Deuba said that the country has now reached to an end of political transition as the election of local levels has already been held and process related to the election of the House of Representatives and State Assemblies has also begun.

In the appeal, PM Deuba said that the country is now amidst the joy of elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies and the political agenda of constitution implementation would be fulfilled after the elections scheduled for November 26 and December 7.

“There is a challenge before us to take the country towards the new era of development after the end of transition. Heading the country towards the decisive path of economic prosperity within a few years by making it a national agenda is a common mission of all democrats,” reads the appeal.

Saying strengthening democratic rule of law and rapid economic development are now the first priority of the nation, PM Deuba said that the time has come for all democratic forces to come together. RSS
