Koirala blames UCPN Maoist of creating confidence crisis



KATHMANDU: President of the Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala, has said that a national consensus government should be formed on political consensus for political outlet, saying the election declared by the UCPN-Moist led government has created crisis of confidence.

Releasing a souvenir published by Kaskeli Democratic Society today, President Koirala warned that condition of the UCPN-Maoist will be like that of the Ranas, Panchayat system and the King if the UCPN-Maoist does not discard the mentality of totalitarian rule.

Stating that there is the possibility of New Nepal only in democracy, he said NC will not compromise with anyone regarding democratic norms and values.

Koirala said NC wants to create an environment of consensus for an outlet to the political crisis, not for post, adding that NC is not lured by the post of Prime Minister. On the occasion, Koirala honoured Amar Neupane, writer of Madan Prize winning novel “Seto Dharti”.

Novelist Neupane said that there will be development in every sectors including economic, educational and health, and not only in literary sector if there is political stability in the country. RSS
